At least a component of a package (10) includes at least a first plastic material (e.g., high density polyethylene HDPE, polypropylene PP) having a first elecromagnetic energy absorption spectrum and, dispersed in said first plastic material, a second plastic material (e.g., ethylene vinyl acetate EVA) acting as a visually non-detectable marker and having a second electromagnetic energy absorption spectrum. In order to authenticate the package, electromagnetic energy, preferably infrared energy, comprising at least one wavelength absorbed by said second plastic material is directed onto said package to detect presence of said second plastic material.

La présente invention concerne au moins un composant d'un emballage (10) qui comprend au moins une première matière plastique (par exemple, du polyéthylène haute densité HDPE, du polypropylène PP) présentant un premier spectre d'absorption d'énergie électromagnétique et, dispersée dans ladite première matière plastique, une seconde matière plastique (par exemple, l'acétate d'éthylènevinyle EVA) agissant comme un marqueur visuellement non détectable et présentant un second spectre d'absorption d'énergie électromagnétique. Afin d'authentifier l'emballage, une énergie électromagnétique, de préférence une énergie infrarouge, comprenant au moins une longueur d'onde absorbée par ladite seconde matière plastique est dirigée sur ledit emballage pour détecter la présence de ladite seconde matière plastique.
