ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved tribological system with plastic/ plastic pairing, such as a sliding bearing, in which at least two main sliding partners made of plastic carry out motions in sliding friction relative to one another via an auxiliary sliding partner also made of plastic and the plastic of at least one of the main and auxiliary sliding partners is polar and contains at least one, cyclic compound whose ring has at least one side coupled directly to an atom selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and oxygen, or contains at least one of these atoms. In this improved system, the polar cyclic compound is selected from the group consisting of: a) the monovalent cyclic chain polymers, b) the chain polymers in the form of polyhetero- cycles, c) the chain polymers in the form of monovalent polyheterocycles, d) the fully cyclic chain polymers, and d) the homopolymers, copolymers, polymer mixtures of groups a) to d). Moreover, the main sliding partners are both polar and contain cyclic compounds that are different from each other or whose ring is identical but coupled to different atoms, in which case the auxiliary sliding partner is nonpolar, or the main sliding partners are both nonpolar, in which case the auxiliary sliding partner is polar and contains at least one of said cyclic compounds.
