ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a plastic pump housing for use in a high pressure pump. The plastic pump housing has a plastic end flange for securing to a reinforced motor housing flange with the plastic end flange of the pump housing having recessed regions therearound for receiving a reinforcing plate to prevent outward deflection of the plastic end flange away from the reinforced motor housing flange.
