PLASTIC SICKLE GUARD WITH LEDGER INSERT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The sickle guard (21, 46, 52) for a mower includes a molded plastic body with molded-in metal ledger inserts (29, 41, 66, 78) or a molded-in fastener (51). When the molded-in ledger inserts shown in Figs. 1-5 and 9-17 become worn the guard is thrown away. When the ledger plate (54) of Figs. 6-8 becomes worn, it can be replaced by removing screw (56).
