ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A plastic ski pole handle for releasably connecting both ends of a loop-forming strap to the ski pole handle. Known similar ski pole handles are expensive to manufacture and arc time-consuming to put together, as well as being a potential source of injury to the skier, and a source of damage to the ski pole handle itself. The ski pole handling according to the invention has an open recess for accommodating both ends of the strap, lying flat within the recess. The recess is closed by means of a folding cover connected to a body of the handle by means of a flexible bridge which is integral with the body of the handle. A pin, which is tightly inserted in the body of the handle, engages an opening in a lower end of the strap and releas- ably engages an opening in an upper end of the strap within the recess. Pressure bars integral with the folding cover and ex- tending downwardly therefrom engage an upper surface of the upper strap when the folding cover is in its closed position in releasable engagement with the side walls of the recess.
