Abstract An electrical battery is disclosed which has a plurality of substantially cylindrical unsealed dry cells enclosed in a single sealed container. The container has at least two parts made of a substantially rigid plastics material joined together along at least one plane parallel to the axes of the cells. The parts of the container are preferably joined together by ultrasonic welding and the container may have dividing walls between the cells formed integrally with the container.
