ABSTRACT DECORATIVE ITEM A decorative item reproducing a coin or like object. The item comprises a moulding defining a face and a transverse skirt extending from the periphy thereof the face and skirt having outer surfaces moulded as an enlarged facsimile of one face and the edge of a coin, the moulding desirably being plated with metal corres- ponding to the metal of the coin behing reproduced. The well formed within the skirt may include weighting material rendering the item suitable for use as a paper weight or material enabling the item to be wall mounted. The item incorporates safeguards to ensure that any purchaser is quite clear that the object is a facsimile.
