A plasma-buffy coat concentrate that comprises plasma, platelets at a concentration of at least 1.0 x 109 cells/ml, and fibrinogen at concentration of at least 5 mg/ml is described. The plasma-buffy coat concentrate can be combined with a fibrinogen activator to form a platelet glue wound sealant. A method for processing blood to produce the plasma-buffy coat concentrate is also provided. The method comprises centrifuging anticoagulated blood to remove red blood cells and produce a plasma-buffy coat mixture. Water is removed from the mixture to produce the plasma-buffy coat concentrate. A fibrinogen activator is mixed with the plasma-buffy coat concentrate to produce a wound sealant, which can then be applied to a wound to facilitate sealing and healing of the wound.
L'invention porte sur un concentré fait d'un voile leucocytoplaquettaire plasmatique comprenant du plasma, des plaquettes selon une concentration d'au moins 1,0 x 10?9¿ cellules/ml et un fibrinogène selon une concentration d'au moins 5 mg/ml. Il est possible de combiner ce concentré de voile leucocytoplaquettaire plasmatique avec un activateur de fibrinogène pour constituer une colle plaquettaire, agent d'obturation de plaies. Cette invention présente également une technique de traitement du sang permettant de produire la colle plaquettaire, agent d'obturation de plaies. Cette technique consiste à centrifuger du sang rendu anticoagulant pour en retirer des globules rouges et produire un mélange contenant le voile leucocytoplaquettaire plasmatique. On extrait l'eau que contient le mélange pour obtenir le concentré de voile leucocytoplaquettaire plasmatique. Un activateur de fibrinogène est alors mélangé avec ce concentré pour donner un agent d'obturation de lésions, à même d'être appliqué sur une plaie pour en faciliter la fermeture et en accélérer la cicatrisation.
