The invention relates to a plant breeding gutter of platform shape that is used in a novel breeding system. The U-shaped profile of the plant breeding gutter is supported by distantly arranged suspension elements throughout its entire length. The platform top surface (9) entirely supports over its width the full width of the nutritive substratum mat (8). The legs (11) of the U-shaped profile point downward on both sides over a certain distance. This distance provides for a light entrance to the bottom edges of the sides of substratum mat (8) in order to prevent undesired root growth beyond the edges of the substratum mat (8). The lower portions are shaped as drain water channels. In another embodiment the legs (11) of the U-shaped profile include a downwardly extending wall section, a horizontal section, and an upwardly extending wall section which is spaced apart from the downwardly extending wall, by the horizontal section and which extends upwards beyond the platform level. These new external walls have openings, e.g. cutouts, in order to allow light entrance into the drain water channels and onto the bottom edges of the mat (8), thus preventing undesired root growth. All embodiments are equipped with water evacuation channels or drains.
L'invention concerne une gouttière de culture de plantes destinée à un nouveau système de culture. Le profilé en U servant de gouttière de culture de plantes est, sur toute sa longueur, supporté par des éléments de suspension. La gouttière de culture de plantes comprend une surface supérieure. Les pieds du profilé en U font saillie de la surface principale, de chaque côté, vers le bas sur une grande distance. Cette distance ou la </= distance de pontage intérieure >/= est supérieure ou au moins égale à la hauteur du tapis de bouillon de culture. Les deux pieds du profilé en U peuvent être courbés de façon convergente ou divergente. Les extrémités libres des pieds sont retournées sur une petite hauteur vers l'extérieur et/ou vers le haut, de telle façon que chacune constitue un canal d'écoulement d'eau ou un drain. Ce drain est en permanence visible de l'extérieur et donc contrôlable afin d'éviter d'éventuels engorgements. La largeur du tapis de bouillon de culture correspond à la largeur de la surface sur laquelle on pose le tapis.
