A non-slip platform (10) for location adjacent to a body of water providing a person with traction despite the presence of water on the platform (10), wherein the platform includes an upper portion (14); a fluid-draining topography at the upper portion that channels the water to minimize water contact with the person on the platform; and a non-slip surface coating on the fluid~draining topography for traction, said non-slip surface coating including an abrasive layer. The present invention is also directed to a method of making the non-slip platform (10) for location adjacent to a body of water, the method including the steps of forming a fluid-draining topography at the upper portion (14) of the non-slip platform, preparing the fluid- draining topography to support an abrasive layer, depositing the abrasive layer on the prepared fluid~draining topography, and providing a topcoat to the fluid-draining topography.
L'invention concerne une plateforme non glissante (10) adjacente à de l'eau permettant à une personne d'être retenue malgré la présence d'eau sur la plateforme (10), cette plateforme comprenant une portion supérieure (14); une topographie de drainage de fluide sur la portion supérieure conduisant l'eau de façon à minimiser le contact entre l'eau et la personne sur la plateforme, et un revêtement de surface non glissant sur la partie topographique de drainage de fluide aux fins de retenue, le revêtement de surface non glissante comprenant une couche abrasive. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé de fabrication de la plateforme non glissante (10) afin de la placer à côté de l'eau, ce procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à former une topographie de drainage de fluide sur la portion supérieure (14) de la plateforme non glissante, à préparer la topographie de drainage de fluide afin qu'elle supporte une couche abrasive, à déposer la couche abrasive sur la topographie préparée, et à poser un recouvrement supérieur sur la topographie de drainage de fluide.
