ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A platform lift comprises a framework mounted within a vehicle doorway. A slide frame is mounted on the framework for pivotal movement and a platform is mounted on the slide frame and is pivotal from a stored position to an operative position. A ramp is mounted on the slide frame and is pivotal from a stored position to an operative position, hydraulic means moving the platform and the ramp to and from the stored and the operative position and selectively lowering and raising the platform through a range of positions below and to said operative position. Manual means selectively raise and lower the platform independently of the hydraulic means.
