A high rhenium containing single crystal superalloy (30) is chromised, or coated with cobalt, before the conventional aluminising process steps to modify the surface of the high rhenium containing single crystal superalloy to prevent the formation of topologically close packed phases at the interface between the aluminide coating (32) and the rhenium containing single crystal superalloy. The invention is particularly applicable to platinum aluminide coatings, platinum aluminide-silicide coatings and aluminide-silicide coatings.

Un superalliage monocristallin à teneur élevée en rhénium (30) est chromé, ou revêtu de cobalt, avant les étapes du procédé d'aluminiage traditionnel pour modifier la surface du superalliage monocristallin à teneur élevée en rhénium afin de prévenir la formation de phases topologiquement rapprochées à l'interface entre le revêtement d'aluminiure (32) et le superalliage monocristallin à teneur élevée en rhénium. L'invention est particulièrement applicable aux revêtements d'aluminiure de platine, aux revêtements d'aluminiure-siliciure de platine et aux revêtements à base d'aluminiure-siliciure.
