ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE Platinum group metal-cantaining alloys are described in particular nickel-chromium based gamme prime alloys con- sisting in percentages by weight (apart from impurities) of aluminum (4 to 13.5%), chromium (trace to 6%), one or more metals of the platinum group (trace to 20% total) and balance nickel. The alloys possess good corrosion resistance at elevated temper- atures in excess of 900°C, and are useful for the fabrication of parts for use in the glass industry and in the aero-engine industry concerned with jet engines and gas turbines.
