A playground appliance comprising a plurality of support members from which are suspended net units to form a non-planar playing surface that children can climb. The support members include vertical posts supported on the ground by anchoring devices. Each anchoring device includes a ground engaging support plate having a surface substantially exceeding a transverse dimension of the vertical post. Ground penetrating spike members are driven through the support plate to stabilize the post. The assembly is easy to erect and can sustain heavy loading without collapsing.

Matériel de terrains de jeux comportant une pluralité d'éléments porteurs auxquels des filets sont suspendus pour former des surfaces de jeu irrégulières auxquelles les enfants peuvent grimper. Les éléments porteurs comportent des poteaux en appui sur des dispositifs d'ancrage reposant sur le sol. Chaque dispositif d'ancrage est constitué d'une plaque-support dont la surface dépasse largement une section du poteau. Des crampons sont enfoncés à travers la plaque-support pour stabiliser le poteau. La structure est facile à ériger et peut supporter des charges importantes sans risque d'affaissement.
