A playground device, in the nature of a teeter-totter, includes first and second spaced base members. An arcuate rail is coupled to the base members in an upright arc. An arcuate member surrounds at least a portion of the rail and is mounted for to-and-fro movement relative to the rail. User platforms or other user-friendly features are mounted on the tube. A biasing mechanism coacts between the member and the rail to bias the member toward a predetermined preferably central position on the rail, while allowing the tube to move to-and-fro on the rail.

Un dispositif pour terrain de jeu, de type balançoire à bascule, qui comprend des premier et second éléments à base espacés. Un rail arqué est couplé aux éléments dans un arc vertical. L'élément arqué entoure au moins une partie du rail et est monté pour assurer un mouvement alternatif par rapport au rail. Les plates-formes utilisateurs ou d'autres éléments conviviaux sont monté(e)s sur le tube. Un mécanisme de sollicitation coagit entre l'élément et le rail afin de solliciter l'élément vers une position prédéterminée de préférence centrale sur le rail, tout en permettant au tube de se déplacer selon un mouvement alternatif sur le rail.
