The invention relates to a playing end for a ringette stick, which end comprises a tapered tip section (1, 2, 3) at the lower end of the shaft, which tip section is intended for controlling the playing object and the thickness (T, t) of which decreases by over 20%, most preferably by approximately 30-50%, when proceeding towards the tip of the playing end. The length (C) of the section (3) tapering in thickness is within the range from 5 mm to 50 mm, most preferably within the range from 5 mm to 30 mm. The tapered section (3) has an essentially non-tapered section (2) as its extension, the length (B) of the non-tapered section (2) being within the range from 30 mm to 100 mm, most preferably within the range from 60 mm to 80 mm. The steeply tapered section (3) is thus formed above a section (2) of constant thickness.
