A package is made from a flexible rectangular sheet with a reinforced central region (2) which has pre-expanded pleats (1), while the side portions (4) have flat pleats (3) secured at the ends thereof. The device facilitates the expansion of the reinforced central region (2) and the subsequent formation of dihedral portions which increase the load resistance in the direction of the pleats. The reinforced central region (2) may further be provided with flutings extending parallel to the pleats.

L'emballage est réalisé à partir d'une feuille rectangulaire souple dont la zone centrale (2) est renforcée et comporte des plis (1) qui sont prédéployés, tandis que les parties latérales (4) comportent des plis couchés (3) fixés à leurs extrémités. Ce dispositif permet de faciliter le déploiement de la zone centrale renforcée (2) et la formation éventuelle de dièdres qui permettent d'augmenter la résistance à la charge dans le sens des plis. La zone centrale renforcée (2) peut aussi présenter des cannelures parallèles au sens des plis.
