An air intake system for a small engine is comprised of a plenum having an air inlet which receives air from a universal engine air intake through a venturi. An air filter is mounted within the plenum and filtered air is supplied to an engine carburetor. Various other air cleaner components may be connected to the air intake system without affecting carburetor calibration.
