Generally pliers offer two methods of holding the work piece. First is the front pinch, and second is the body holding. This type of pliers offers body holding only. By providing one jaw solid and second jaw pivoting, jaws align themselves to work piece resulting in better grip, which in turn result in better application of the holding forces, better application of the moment forces, and also result in less surface damage to work piece.
