ABSTRACT The article which I, Pearl Malcoff, have invented and which is entitled "PLOP", an easy to remember name, which is an opener for small plastic-covered packages. It is to be made of one-piece plastic 2?" long by ?" thick, and is formed somewhat in the shape of a grappling hook, with the very small sharp point turned in- wards, to avoid injury to the hands of the user, and damage to pockets, purses, etc. It can be kept anywhere in the home or office, and can be carried anywhere by a person. It has a small ring at the top, which can be attached to a key ring. It would be a boon to small children whose hands are not sufficiently devel- oped to open small plastic-covered articles; to Senior citizens whose hands may be arthritic or trembling, or to those who cannot see well, and in fact to all average individuals to save time, breakage, and frustration. The retail cost would be under $2.00, a price affordable to every individual.
