ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a closure device adapted to be secured to one end of a main injection pipe which comprises a substantially straight pipe element through which a fluid to be injected may flow; a single-acting annular power ram-like linear actuator the movable part of which is slidable in substantially coaxial relationship along the outside wall of said pipe element and at least one transversely expandable annular sealing packing member mounted in coaxial relationship about and along the outer wall of said pipe element between said movable part and stationary abutment means fixedly attached to said pipe element.
