ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is a lock including a housing that defines a plurality of parallel pinways and keyway communicating therewith. Retained by the housing is a locking selector that is rectilinearly movable between open and closed posi- tions in a direction transverse to the pinways. Pins disposed in the pinways are movable from locking positions wherein they engage and prevent movement of the selector to release posi- tions wherein they permit such movement. The housing is shaped so as to prevent movement of the pins in the direction of selector movement and the pins and selector are shaped and arranged to engage in response to movement of the selector out of the open position and thereby prevent movement of the pins into their release positions.
