- 11 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a plumb device for the determination of horizontal and vertical axes and includes a luminous source (10) which is suspended freely-moving on a universal joint (102, 104) for levelling out in the equilibrium position so that a light beam (32) from the luminous source (10) indicates the vertical direction. A lower concaved joint lens (102) is rigidly connected via the housing to a stand and carries a line (62) through which a volatile lubricant (64) can be introduced to a groove located on the upper joint part (104) for an almost complete short-time offset of joint friction.
