The invention relates to a plunger piston (10) for an air spring. The air spring is active between a component (12) which is to be cushioned by springs, in particular the vehicle frame, and a sprung component (14), in particular the axle carrier of a motor vehicle. The plunger piston is configured as a hollow piston which is connected to the sprung component (14) at the lower plunger-piston end (16) and to a pneumatic-spring bellows (20) which can be loaded with compressed air at the upper plunger-piston head (18). The pneumatic-spring bellows (20) is connected on the other side to the component (12) which is to be cushioned by springs, and rolls on the outside of the plunger-piston skirt (22) during suspension movements. The lower plunger- piston end (16) is of open configuration and is provided with a reinforcing element (24) which encircles the edge region of the opening.
L'invention concerne un piston plongeur (10) conçu pour un ressort pneumatique. Ce ressort pneumatique agit entre un composant (12) devant bénéficier d'une suspension, en particulier un châssis de véhicule, et un composant (14) assurant cette suspension, en particulier le porte-essieu d'un véhicule automobile. Le piston plongeur selon l'invention se présente sous la forme d'un corps creux qui est relié avec le composant (14) assurant la suspension, au niveau de son extrémité inférieure (16), et avec un soufflet à air (20) pouvant être soumis à l'action d'air comprimé, au niveau de son extrémité supérieure (18). De l'autre côté, ce soufflet à air (20) est relié avec le composant (12) devant bénéficier d'une suspension, et roule sur la surface extérieure de la jupe (22) du piston plongeur lors des mouvements de ressort. L'extrémité inférieure (16) du piston plongeur est configurée de manière ouverte, et comporte un élément de renforcement (24) qui entoure la zone périphérique de l'ouverture.
