A tea maker includes a cylindrical container which contains hot water and tea leaves and a plunger which has an elongated rod with a pressing member secured to an end thereof to be inserted into the cylindrical container. The pressing member has a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the cylindrical container to be snugly fit therein and movable and rotatable relative thereto along and about the longitudinal direction of the rod. Water passages are formed on the pressing member to allow water to flow between the top side and the under side thereof. A plurality of sharpen-ended teeth are formed on the under side of the pressing member and depending therefrom to press and squeeze the tea leaves that are disposed in the cylindrical container and below the pressing member to make tea.
