SPRAY GUN AND METHOD ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved sprayer apparatus and method is disclosed for spraying plural fluid component materials, as for example, foams, thermosetting resins, epoxies, polyesters, urethanes and other rapidly reacting materials, as a homogeneous mixture. The sprayer apparatus includes a body having a generally cylindrical mixing chamber wherein the materials to be sprayed are introduced through a pair of passageways, each passageway being provided with a flow rate valve to permit changing the proportions of the materials in the final sprayed mixture. Each passageway is connected to a by-pass passageway via a by-pass valve such that the materials being fed into the sprayer apparatus are in constant circulation, either entering the apparatus to be sprayed therefrom or diverted into the by-pass passageway for recirculation. The mixing chamber is provided with a moveable rod at one end thereof which automatically enters the mixing chamber and displaces or voids all of the mixture from the chamber when the sprayer apparatus is not spraying, to prevent the mixture from hardening in the chamber and fouling it.
