A pneumatic actuator (30) including a first housing (32) having a first cylinder (33) formed therein, a first piston (34) slidably positioned within the cylinder of the first housing, a first rack (36) connected to the first piston and extending therefrom, a second housing (38) having a second cylinder (40) formed therein, a second piston (42) slidably positioned within the second cylinder of the second housing, a second rack (44) connected to the second piston and extending therefrom, and a pinion (46) engaging the first and second rack and rotatable relative to a movement of the first and second racks. The first piston has a center axis aligned with a point of contact (48) between the first rack and pinion. The second piston has a center axis aligned with a point of contact (50) between the second rack and the pinion.
La présente invention concerne un actionneur pneumatique (30) constitué d'un premier logement (32) dans lequel est ménagé un premier cylindre (33), d'un premier piston (34) coulissant à l'intérieur du cylindre du premier logement, d'une première tige de piston (36) fixée sur le premier piston et y formant une protubérance, d'un second logement (38) dans lequel est ménagé un second cylindre (40), d'un second piston (42) coulissant à l'intérieur du cylindre du second logement, d'une seconde tige de piston (44) fixée sur le second piston et y formant une protubérance, et d'un pignon (46) en contact avec la première et la seconde tige de piston, et entrant en rotation en réaction à un déplacement de la première et la de seconde tige de piston. L'axe central du premier piston est dans l'alignement d'un point de contact (48) entre la première tige de piston et le pignon. L'axe central du second piston est dans l'alignement d'un point de contact (50) entre la seconde tige de piston et le pignon.
