A pneumatically operated compressor bleed valve communicating between a compressor housing and a bypass duct of a gas turbine engine. The valve has an annular piston slidably mounted within an annular chamber concentric the longitudinal engine axis. An annular valve plug on the piston and an annular valve seat on the compressor housing defining a valve seal interface. A control air pressure conduit communicates between a portion of the annular chamber bounded by the piston and a source of control air pressure. Guide bearings mounted to the periphery of the piston and the housing have a helical guide surface concentric the engine axis.

Soupape pneumatique servant à purger un compresseur et placée entre le carter du compresseur et un conduit de dérivation du moteur d'une turbine à gaz. Cette soupape possède un piston annulaire monté coulissant à l'intérieur d'une chambre annulaire concentrique à l'axe longitudinal du moteur. Un tampon de soupape annulaire associé au piston et un siège de soupape annulaire associé au carter du compresseur définissent une interface d'étanchéité de soupape. Un conduit pneumatique de contrôle communique entre une partie de la chambre annulaire délimitée par le piston et une source de pression pneumatique. Des paliers de guidage montés sur la circonférence du piston et du carter présentent une surface de guidage hélicoïdale concentrique à l'axe du moteur.
