ABSTRACT In a motor vehicle such as a truck or the like having a battery operated low voltage electrical system, an hydraulically powered system for operating one or more high power hydraulic rams or the like and a pneumatic system for regulating the operation of the hydraulic system, the improvement wherein the pneumatic system is powered by a low capacity compressor which is powered by a low voltage electric motor which is electrically connected to the low voltage circuit of the motor vehicle to drive the compressor to pressurize the pneumatic system as required in use.
