Abstract of the disclosure A pneumatic cylinder and piston assembly is disclosed, of the kind used for opening and closing sliding doors of vehicles, the improvement consisting in that, in addition to the usual inlet and outlet openings for the working fluid, the assembly has auxiliary openings for feeding and discharging the working fluid, so as to modulate the displacement speed of the piston accord- ing to the individual requirements. The manipulation of the principal and the auxiliary openings are inde- pendent from one another.
