A surgical stapler with a tool assembly mounted thereon for deforming surgical fasteners and fastening tissue includes a housing having a fixed handle; and a clamping handle mounted to the housing. The clamping handle is selectively movable relative to the fixed handle from a first position in spaced relation relative to the fixed handle to a second position closer to the fixed handle to actuate the clamping of tissue. An adapter yoke translates within the housing upon actuation of the clamping handle. The adapter yoke mechanically cooperates with a lead screw to actuate the tool assembly to clamp tissue. A drive assembly rotates a shaft which mechanically engages the lead screw. Upon activation of the drive assembly, the shaft rotates the lead screw to advance a roll nut and force a firing piston into the tool assembly to deform the surgical fasteners and fasten the tissue.
La présente invention concerne une agrafeuse chirurgicale comprenant un ensemble d'outils, ou sur laquelle peut être monté un ensemble d'outils; laquelle agrafeuse est conçue pour déformer une multitude d'attaches chirurgicales à travers un tissu et pour attacher un tissu. Cette agrafeuse chirurgicale comprend un logement présentant une poignée fixe et une poignée de serrage pouvant être montée sur le logement. La poignée de serrage peut être déplacée sélectivement par rapport à la poignée fixe depuis une première position espacée par rapport à la poignée fixe vers une seconde position plus près de la poignée fixe, pour assurer le serrage du tissu. Une fourche adaptatrice est conçue pour se translater à l'intérieur du logement à l'actionnement de la poignée de serrage. La fourche adaptatrice coopère mécaniquement avec une vis-mère pour actionner l'ensemble d'outils afin de serrer le tissu. L'agrafeuse chirurgicale comprend également un ensemble de commande pour faire pivoter une tige qui s'engrène mécaniquement dans la vis-mère. Lors de l'activation sélective de l'ensemble de commande, la tige fait pivoter la vis-mère pour faire avancer un écrou de galet et enfonce un piston de mise à feu dans l'ensemble d'outils pour déformer les attaches chirurgicales à travers le tissu et pour attacher le tissu.
