The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial medium truck tire having a tread cap constructed of at least two kinds of rubbers. Each of the two shoulder areas of the tread cap has a pressure distribution groove and is comprised of a rubber compound exhibiting a tear strength value of at least 140 KNm-1 as measured by ASTM D624 Die "B". The central portion of the tread cap located between the two shoulder areas exhibits a Healy Rebound of at least 74 percent as measured by ASTM D1054.
