ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire having a belt structure formed from an inner belt layer and an outer belt layer, which are each folded at an opposite side edge, and which are laminated together, one of the layers being made of steel cords and the other layer being made of aromatic polyamide fiber cords. The fold of the lower layer encloses the unfolded side edge of the outer layer. In the prior art, only one layer is folded at both edges. The radial tire has improved high speed performance, dura- bility, driving stability, and riding comfort and decreased ply steer as compared to the prior art tires.
