PNEUMATIC TIRE Abstract An improved pneumatic tire having a reinforcing structure disposed between the tread portion and carcass structure of the tire. The reinforcing structure compris- ing of at least one reinforcing belt having its lateral edges folded back upon itself, the folded edge portions extending into the shoulder region of the tire. The reinforcing structure further comprises of at least one reinforcing cut belt having its lateral edges extend beyond the folded edge portions of the folded reinforcing layer. The lateral edges of the second reinforcing belt have a gum strip placed along the entire circumferential length thereof.
