A PNEUMATIC TIRE Abstract of Disclosure A pneumatic radial passenger tire having a ground-engaging tread portion 12, said tread portion 12 being provided with a pair of sub- stantially sinuous parallel grooves 16 disposed in the central portion of the tire, one on each side of the mid-circumferential centerplane. Disposed axially outward of each of said grooves 16 is an intermediate generally sinuous groove 22 which extends about the circumference of said tire and is disposed such that alternate axially inner peaks 23 coincide with the axially outer peaks 19 of said central groove 16. An axially extending groove 26 is provided at each of said axially outer peaks 24 of each intermediate groove 22 which extend out to the tread edge of said tire.
