ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pneumatic tire in which each shoulder block is provided with two to four narrow shoulder grooves extending circumferentially across the block the narrow shoulder grooves are formed in a region defined between an outer position spaced axially inwardly apart from the tread edge by a distance of 0.015 times the tread width and an inner position spaced axially inwardly apart from the tread edge by a distance of 0.135 times the tread width each shoulder block is further provided with one to three sipes extending between the axially innermost narrow shoulder groove and the adjacent main shoulder groove
