A pneumatic tool lock integral to the structure of a pneumatic tool and adapted to replace the existing male nipple component of the pneumatic tool is provided. The pneumatic tool lock includes an outer housing adapted to provide access to inner components of the pneumatic tool lock, the outer housing having a first end for securely mating with the pneumatic tool and a second end for coupling with a fluid source. An inner passageway within the outer housing provides a means for fluid to flow through from the fluid source to the pneumatic tool. A key operated lock mounted on the outer housing is displaceable between a first open position and a second closed position. A needle valve attached to the key operated lock disengageably mates with a channel extending between the inner passageway and the outer housing so as to block and un-block fluid flow into the inner passageway. When the key operated lock is displaced in the first open position, the needle valve disengages from the channel so as to allow fluid to flow into the inner passageway and when the key operated lock is displaced in the second closed position, the needle valve mates with the channel so as to inhibit fluid from flowing into the inner passageway.
Il s'agit d'un verrou d'outil pneumatique intégré à la structure de cet outil pneumatique et adapté pour remplacer le raccord mâle existant dudit outil. Le verrou comprend une enveloppe extérieure adaptée pour accéder aux éléments internes dudit verrou, cette enveloppe extérieure présentant une première extrémité pour accoupler solidement l'outil pneumatique, et une seconde extrémité, pour l'accoupler à une source fluide. Une voie de passage intérieure dans l'enveloppe extérieure permet au fluide de circuler, de la source de fluide vers l'outil pneumatique. Une serrure, installée sur l'enveloppe extérieure, peut présenter un déplacement entre une première position ouverte et une seconde position fermée. Un robinet à aiguille, fixé à la serrure, s'accouple de manière libérable au canal allant entre la voie de passage intérieure et l'enveloppe extérieure, de façon à obturer et à libérer la circulation du fluide à destination de la voie de passage. Lorsque la serrure présente un déplacement dans la première position ouverte, le robinet à aiguille se libère du canal, pour permettre au fluide de circuler dans la voie de passage intérieure. Lorsque le déplacement est effectué dans la seconde position fermée, le robinet à aiguille s'accouple au canal, de façon à empêcher le fluide de circuler dans la voie de passage intérieure.
