ABSTRACT In point of sale packaging for small hardware items, a container that incorporates a transparent container part that is of plastic and is secured to a cardboard blank is used. The cardboard blank is used to hang the point of sale packaging on a rod that is part of a self-service display. In order to provide for more favourable separation of the point of sale packaging according to the materials from which it is made, it is proposed that the container be formed from a three-dimensionally folded section of the cardboard blank, this forming a lower tray, that then continues as a flat one-piece cardboard end piece that is used to hang the point of sale packaging on a self-service rack. The side walls of the lower tray extend beyond the vertical plane of the cardboard end piece and form an insertable male part of a two-part push-fit coupling. The receiving female part of the push-fit coupling is formed from a cap, the cap side walls of which snap over the tray side walls when the two parts are joined together.
