ABSTRACT An Electronic Booster Cable comprising a Triac that is controlled by a polarize switching circuit for preventing short circuit damage to Batteries and the electronic components in a motor vehicle whenever boosting. It is known to permit current to flow from a charged Battery to a weak Battery and it's starter motor only when the colour coded cable clamps are connected on the terminals of both Batteries correctly. The colour coded red cable clamps are connected to positive (+) terminal on each Battery and the colour coded black cable clamps are connected to negative (-) terminals on both Batteries. It is known to remain open (off) when the clamps are connected incorrectly on the Battery. Example: the colour coded red clamps are connected to the negative (-) terminal of the Battery and the colour coded black cable clamp is connected to positive (+) terminal Battery in this invention when the user connects the colour coded clamps incorrectly on the Battery terminal. The Batteries and their electronic components are protected and the user is alerted of the mistake by an audible sound. The switching circuitry within the unit also detects and displays when the charging voltage and current from the vehicle administering the boost is low. Displaying a solid red light in reference of the Alternator voltage and intermittent in reference of the charging amperage.
