-15- Abstract Polarized Electrical Connector and Method of Manufacture A polarized electrical connector and method of manufacture are disclosed. An electrical connector having a plug and a receptacle including an alignment slot in the shell of the receptacle and an extending tab of the plug are disclosed. Likewise, a pin socket array of the receptacle together with a pin array of the plug have a preselected angular configuration and must mate for the connector to be assembled. Additionally disclosed is the method of manufacturing the electrical connector wherein a pair of molds are provided such that one mold may be rotated relative to the other to provide a whole series of receptacle and plugs having distinct angular orientations from a common set of molds.
