Methods and compositions for de novo and in vivo synthesis of soft tissue in predefined shape and dimensions from adult mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) within a biocompatible scaffold are described. Scaffolds are implanted in vivo in a host animal and fabricated therein, or maintained ex vivo. Inducing angiogenesis enhances success of soft tissue implants.

La présente invention concerne des méthodes et des compositions de synthèse de novo et in vivo de tissus mous présentant une forme et des dimensions prédéfinies à partir de cellules souches mésenchymateuses adultes (MSC) à l'intérieur d'un échafaudage biocompatible. Les échafaudages sont implantés in vivo dans l'animal hôte puis réalisés à l'intérieur du corps de celui-ci, ou entretenus ex vivo. Ce mode de réalisation induit l'angiogenèse ce qui permet d'augmenter les chances de réussite des implants de tissus mous.
