New injectable, in situ crosslinkable biodegradable polymer composites comprise poly(propylene fumarate) (PPF), poly(ethylene glycol)-dimethacrylate (PEG-DMA), and, optionally, .beta.-tricalcium phosphate (.beta.-TCP). A method for controlling the crosslinking characteristics of the composites, including the maximum crosslinking temperature and the gel point, as well as the properties of the cross linked composites such as the compressive strength and modulus and the water holding capacity, is disclosed.
De nouveaux composites polymères injectables, biodégradables et réticulables in situ contiennent du poly(propylène fumarate) (PPF), du poly(éthylène glycol)-diméthacrylate (PEG-DMA), et, facultativement, du beta -tricalcium phosphate ( beta -TCP). On décrit un procédé de régulation des caractéristiques de réticulation des composites, y compris la température maximale de réticulation et le point de gélification, ainsi que les propriétés des composites réticulés telles que la résistance à la compression et le module d'élasticité en compression et enfin la capacité de rétention en eau.
