ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a novel polyaldimine, pre- paration process of the polyaldimine, moisture curable polyu- rethane composition containing the polyaldimine and use of the composition. The polyaldimine of this invention is represented by the formula (I), Image (I) [wherein R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and are hal- ogen, hydrogen, alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; R4 is hydrogen or methyl; Y is -N=CH-C(R5)3 or -N=CH-C(CH3)2-CH2-O-CO-R6 (wherein R5 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R6 is alkyl having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, anilino, benzylamino or alkylamino having 1 to 16 carbon atoms); ? is an integer of 1 or 2: m is an integer of 1 to 3; and n is an integer of 0 to 300]. The polyaldimine is prepared by con- densation of the corresponding aromatic polyamine and aldehyde. A moisture curable polyurethane composition is prepared from the above polyaldimine and an organic polyisocyanate. Sealing ma- terials, wall covering materials, water proof materials and floor- ing materials can be prepared by blending a thiotropic agent or a filler with the polyurethane composition. These materials have very good storage stability and are rapidly cured by atmospheric moisture and cured polyurethane resin having excellent properties can be obtained.
