This invention relates to polyamic acids and to methods for converting polyamic acid into polyimidebenzoxazole polymers. The polyamic acids are prepared by reacting a dianhydride with a diaminobenzoxazole under conditions sufficient to form polyamic acid with an inherent viscosity of greater than 2.0 dL/gram, as measured at 0.2 g/dL in N-methyl-pyrrolidinone at 25 °C. The polyamic acids are converted to polyimidebenzoxazole in the form of films, fiber and coatings using thermal and chemical processes.
Cette invention concerne des acides polyamiques ainsi que des procédés de conversion d'acide polyamique en polymères de polyimidebenzoxale. On prépare les acides polyamiques par réaction d'un dianhydride avec un diaminobenzoxazole dans des conditions suffisantes pour former de l'acide polyamique d'une viscosité inhérente supérieure à 2,0 dL/gramme, mesurée à 0,2 g/dL dans de la N-méthylpyrrolidinone à 25 DEG C. On convertit les acides polyamiques en polyimidebenzoxazole sous la forme de films, de fibre et de revêtements à l'aide de procédés thermiques et chimiques.
