Ces compositions sont caractérisées en ce qu'elles compren- nent une quantité efficace d'au moins un composé à base d'yttrium et/ou de lanthanide. La fabrication d'articles conformés, à partir de ces compositions, ne s'accompagne d'aucune émission dangereuse de gaz toxique et les articles obtenus présentent à la fois un bon caractère ignifuge, une résistance élevée au cheminement d'arc et un bel aspect de surface.
