The present invention is a polyamide composition which is resistant to fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon permeation and at the same time has controllable flexibility. The composition of the present invention comprises from about 50 to 90 percent by weight of a polyamide, from about 5 to 40 percent by weight of a rubber phase that may be melt-processed at from about 425 to 625°F (218 to 329°C) without significant degradation, and from about 5 to 40 percent of a polar polyethylene. The composition can also have from about 0 to 15% by weight of a plasticizer and from about 0 to 10% by weight of a polyamide chain extender.
