Also provided is a polyarylene comprising repeating units represented by the formula (2): (2) (wherein A, R1, and k have the same meanings as defined above).

La présente invention concerne un composé dihalogénobiphényle représenté par la formule (1) : (1) (dans laquelle A représente un groupe amino substitué par un ou deux groupes hydrocarbonés en C1 à C20 ou représente un groupe alcoxy en C1 à C20 ; R1 représente un atome de fluor, un groupe alkyle en C1 à C20, etc. ; X1 représente un atome de chlore, de brome ou d'iode ; et k est un nombre entier de 0 à 3). La présente invention concerne également un polyarylène comprenant des motifs répétitifs représentés par la formule (2) : (2) (dans laquelle A, R1 et k ont les mêmes significations que celles définies ci-dessus).
