ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Addition of zeolites ion-exchanged with specific metal ion species to polyarylene sulfide resins reduces significantly the corrosive properties to metals, without substantially adversely affecting the desirable properties of the resins. The zeolites are ion-exchanged with at least one metal ion species selected from Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ag, Cd, Sn and Mg.
