A flame retardant composition comprising an admixture of (a) an aromatic polycarbonate having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.35 to 0.41 dl/g as measured in methylene chloride at 250°C., and being terminated with a compound selected form paracumyl phenol, a chromanyl compound, ortho- and para-isooctylphenol and ortho- and para-isononyl phenol; (b) a core/shell copolymer comprising, by weight, 50 to 90 % of a core of polymerized butadiene or isoprene having a Tg of -10°C. or less, and, grafted thereon, 50 to 10% of a shell of a polymerized alkylalkacrylate and a polymerized monomer selected from styrene, alpha-methylstyrene, o-, m- or p-butylstyrene, ortho methylstyrene, p-methylstyrene, p-propylstyrene and 1-ethylene naphthalene, the shell being free of acrylonitrile and meth-acrlonitrile,and (c) a flame retardant comprising a flame retardant salt and an anti-drip agent in sufficient quantities to achieve a UL-94 rating of V-0 or V-1 in a molded part 90 mils thick.
