TITLE OF THE INVENTION POLYELECTROLYTE AND SURFACTANT COMPOSITIONS FOR CONTROLLING ALKALINE EARTH METAL SCALES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The instant invention is directed to a method of innibiting the precipitation and deposition of alkaline earth metal scales in an aqueous system, comprising adding to said system an effective amount of (a) an anionic polyelectrolyte; and (b) an anionic surfactant, wherein said polyelectrolyte/surfactant ratio ranges from 1000:1 to 1:10, by weight.
